Asia Emergency Appeal
Caritas Australia’s thoughts and prayers are with the people of the Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia who have been devastated by unprecedented flooding after two typhoons hit the region in one week. Across the region, homes have been destroyed and livelihoods lost with hundreds of thousands of people fleeing to evacuation centres, where the risks of spreading COVID-19 are high. With your help, and with our church and NGO partners on the ground, we can provide vital support to those affected by this and other disasters as part of our Asia Emergency Appeal. Donate today at www.caritas.org.au or by calling 1800 024 413 toll free.
FUNERAL MASS FOR
11.30 AM WEDNESDAY 14th APRIL 2021
ST JOSEPHS CATHOLIC CHURCH - CORAKI
The Covid-19 pandemic is NOT over - please follow all government directives.
Please help to keep each other safe from this potentially fatal virus.
Those who are unwell or at high risk due to compromised immune or respiratory system
should not attend Mass; those over 70 should exercise particular caution.
If you have symptoms, get tested at a COVID-19 clinic.
Symptoms include fever, cough, sore/scratchy throat, shortness of breath,
loss of taste or smell. Self-isolate until you get your results.
If you need advice or have questions, call the
National Coronavirus Health Information Line on 1800 020 080.
Bishop Greg has advised that the faithful are dispensed from attending Sunday Mass.
Sunday can be kept holy by setting aside some time for prayer at home,
reading the Scriptures of the day, watching Mass on television or online, and asking
God for the graces you would normally receive in Holy Communion.
Each one of us can make a difference to slowing the spread of the
virus by staying 1.5 metres away from others and frequently washing our hands.
Please note that during this time of pandemic, for your safety and the safety of others,
you are strongly encouraged to wear a mask at Mass, and at any time when
it is difficult to maintain 1.5 metres of physical distance from others.
Public Masses are being celebrated in the parish.
The number of people permitted to attend church services
is determined by the 2 square meter distancing rule.
Due to available seating, no more than 56 people may attend at once at
All Saints Church, Woodburn & 76 People at Church, Coraki.
No more than 52 people may attend at once at St John’s Church, Evans Head.
It is strongly recommended that you book in advance if intending to come to Mass at Evans Head.
The number of people attending will be supervised by a delegated person at each of the churches.
It is a government requirement that we record the contact details of
all who enter our parish churches or the Gathering Room at Evans Head.
Please contact the Parish Office if you need to enter any of these places.
